Mr. Nathan Joyner, Jr. was born on September 8, 1964 to the late Nathan Joyner, Sr. and Helen Harper Joyner in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. He departed this life on April 20, 2017.

In his spare time, Nathan enjoyed watching wrestling, old cowboy movies and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Annie Mae Joyner; maternal grandparents, David and Alice Harper Hines and sibling, Jeanette Hall.

He is survived by one sibling, Tony Burnette Joyner; six aunts, Mary E. Leach, Sarah Hines, Aileen Bryant, Juanita Whitaker, Bernice Debroux and Doris Hilliard; three uncles, James Joyner, James Hines and Ben Harper (Dorothy); one niece, Michelle Richardson; three nephews, Anthony Hines, Richard Hall and Maurice Hall; great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Mr.Joyner will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2017 in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash St., Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the Service in Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount, NC.
