Rocky Mount, NC

Kianna Aiken Rush “Baby Girl”, 23 of Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, My 4, 2017. Kianna was born on September 18, 1993 in Freehold, New York. She was the daughter of Vincent D. Rush and the late Pamela Hardy.

Kianna was educated in the Nash County School System. She attended and graduated from Nash Rocky Mount Early College High School Class of 2012.

Kianna played Tennis and was a Cheerleader. Following graduation, she attended WinstonSalem University.

Kianna was a member of Word Tabernacle Church where she was very active in the Dance Ministry until leaving for college. Kianna was last employed at Highway 55 Diner.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Norman D. Rush, Sr. “Pop-Pop”; mother, Pamela Hardy; and brother, Andre Hardy. She leaves to mourn her passing her father, Vincent D. Rush of Harrisburg, PA; her six month old baby girl, Amiya Serenity Humes “Moo-Moo” of Rocky Mount, NC whom she loved and adored with her whole heart; grandmother, Anna Lewis Rush “Momma Rush” of Rocky Mount, NC; sister, Felicia Renee Hardy of Laurel, MD; brother, Harkim Hardy of New York, NY; uncles, Norman D. Rush, II of Rocky Mount, NC, Edward D. Rush of New York, NY and Martin D. Rush of Freehold, NJ; special cousins, Iniko N’Tosake of Rockville, MD and Miles Reid of Freehold, NJ; along with a host of family and friends with whom she shared special friendships.

A Visitation for Ms. Aiken-Rush will be held from 12:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Word Tabernacle Church, 821 Word Plaza, in Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the Service in Gardens of Gethsemane in Rocky Mount, NC.
