Roanoke Rapids, NC
Infant Aven Nazir Sneed, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, was so “special” that his presence was requested at two meetings at the same time. He graced his earthly family in body and his Heavenly Father in spirit on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
We can only imagine the urgency of the meeting in heaven, but for certain, he couldn’t be late. He rushed off to meet Jesus, for He was waiting at the gate. Our hearts could not fathom the conflict in the timing of these meetings, because we never thought they would coincide, but we are ecstatic in knowing, that it is with Jesus he abides.
The short time we shared with him in spirit has left an indelible mark on our hearts. We felt his presence as if he lived and with his memory we will never part.
Aven, although we wish you could have stayed, at least one hour or one day, we know you are in a better place and we are grateful we got to see your face. For it was a beautiful one indeed and one we won’t forget. The impact of your presence in our lives is not to be realized yet.
We graciously submit to God’s Will for Aven and God’s Will for our lives. The pleasure was ours to have met you, Aven and your memory will survive.
Aven was preceded in death by maternal great-great-grandparents: Zollie and Annie Scott and Roy and Virginia Sneed; and paternal great-grandparents: Alfred and Eunice Lee.
Aven is survived by his parents: Ciera Sneed of the home and Nate Walker of Roanoke Rapids, NC; twin sisters: Abrianna and Adrianna Sneed of the home; sisters: Tiarra Lowe and Victoria Walker; brothers: Shyheim Walker, Jaheid Watson, and Dashawn Evans; grandparents: Gevia Sneed of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Cornell Underdue of Gaston, NC and Priscilla Walker of Roanoke Rapids, NC; great-grandparents: Jonas and Linda Sneed of Littleton, NC; aunts: Shayla Sneed of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Ambrielle Rogers (Terrence) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Latasha Scott of Roanoke Rapids, NC; uncle: Lamond Simmons; great-aunt: Sharonal Jarrell (Kevin) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; great-uncle: Randal Sneed (Andrea) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and a host of great-great aunts and uncles and cousins.

To the family of Aven Nazir Sneed,
My sincere condolences go out to you today. I am so sorry to read of the loss of your little one. Losing a loved one is very difficult, but especially when our loved one is so young. Just knowing however that our Heavenly Father loves and cares for us all gives us confidence that he will comfort us during times of loss. He promises to "wipe our tears away" during the coming resurrection. (Isaiah 25:8; Acts 24:15) What joy we will have when we welcome our dear loved ones back to life on a beautiful "new earth". (2 Peter 3:13) May this promise bring you strength in the days ahead.
