Obituary

Rocky Mount, NC

Sis. Tempie was born on March 25, 1953 in Nash County to the late Rufus and Helen Louise Jenkins. She departed this life on January 2, 2108 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Sis. Tempie accepted Christ as her personal savior while residing at the Rocky Mount Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

She attended Rocky Mount Senior High School in 1968 and graduated with a diploma in 1970 from Booker T. Washington.

She met and married her true love, Mr. Tyrone Williams on July 4, 1973.

Tempie worked numerous jobs in the industrial field but, she has always had a passion for children. Giving them advice and showing touch love to her own children. She worked in Home Healthcare private duty followed by Eastern Processor and Donnelly Marketing for
thirteen years upon falling ill.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Tyrone Williams; two sisters, Mary Helen and Christine Jenkins and one son-in-law, Gilbert Alford.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughters, Sherry Alford, Rovella Whitaker and Utea Alford; two sons, Timmy Lee Jenkins and Marcellus Williams; one devoted niece, Tabitha Jenkins whom she also help raise; two sons-in-law, LaDerick Whitaker and
Thomas Alford; one daughter-in-law, Maria Williams all of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister, Dorothy Arrington of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, John Henry of Baltimore, MD; two step-sisters, Janice and Blanche; six step-brothers, Clarence, Larry, Melvin Sr., Kenneth, Jodie
and Nathan; twelve grandchildren, Shawnta, Timmy Jr., Neisa, Zorria, Sue-hinya, Gabrielle, LaDerick Jr., Nnaemeka, VaVadra, Tyrek, Tyler, Kerisssa and Tomia; six nieces, Betty, Kikkia, Latoya, Ann-Jeanette, LaQuesha and Yakita; two nephews, Bobby and Torrance, eight great grandchildren, two great nieces, thirteen great nephews, one great-
great nephew, one devoted family friend, Lyman Chapman of Raleigh, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1151 N. Winstead Ave in Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the Service in Gardens of Gethsemane in Rocky Mount, NC.
