Toby Levern Harrison passed on Friday, December 29, 2017 from an unfortunate accident. Toby was born on July 11, 1977 in Rocky Mount, NC to the proud parents Harold Levern Harrison and Joyce Pridgen Harrison.
Toby was a product of the Rocky Mount School System graduating from Rocky Mount Senior High School in 1995. He immediately matriculated to North Carolina's oldest and first public college for Afro-Americans, North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC graduating with a degree in Business Administration.
Toby began applying his business skills as a part-time car salesman at Ye Olde Raleigh Imports, Raleigh, NC while a freshman in college. Hard-working, dedicated and quite industrious, Toby was promoted to Assistant Manager upon graduating from college. After acquiring a few moreyears of marketing experience, Toby and his brother created a Luxury Used-Car Dealership that primarily sold foreign imports. This successful joint business venture lasted over a decade.
Toby was quite active by employing his many beloved avocations as volunteered services.
Techno-savvy, Toby enjoyed fixing cellphones and computers. Additionally, Toby's fine
carpentry skills, his passion for both automotive mechanical work and auto-body repair and his love for painting were all prized services Toby rendered for countless family members,
neighbors, friends and the less fortunate without any monetary compensation.
Furthermore, Toby not only rendered "service with a smile", but he added his gift of wit and humor by entertaining with the art of jokes, anecdotes, storytelling and tall tales. You could count on his jokester style to keep you laughing for hours.

Toby leaves to cherish his memory his beloved seven year old daughter, Lelyn Harrison; his mother, Joyce Pridgen Harrison; his father Harold Harrison; one brother, Rod Harrison.; two nephews, Chase & Carter Harrison; one niece, Jasmine Harrison; one maternal aunt, Ann Jones (Charles); one maternal uncle, Jerome Pridgen (Sharon); one paternal aunt, Christine Willete Harrison; one paternal uncle, Lemuel Harrison (Brenda); two special cousins whom he considered his "other siblings": Jackie Jones & Cleon Felton; a host of other cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank you for all expressions of kindness. All additional cards & monetary gifts may be sent to Mrs. Joyce P. Harrison in care of Pope Funeral Service while the family grieves in private. A Memorial Service will be planned for Toby Harrison later in the year and arrangements will be announced at that time

Toby, I will always remember you as a young man who loved and enjoyed visiting his family. I'm so glad I got to see you and we gave each other a big hug a few weeks before GOD called you in to have peace and happiness forever. GOD bless all your family.
Rest in peace my dear nephew Toby. We will truly miss you!

I'm going to truly miss my road dog we had a lot of great times and we both loved the car business and me and Tob used to run downtown Raleigh nc back in the day!!!!

I haven't seen Toby in many years, but I remember him as a nice quiet sincere young man with a beautiful smile... My prayers are with you.

Toby,I will cherish the time we spent together at Putt Putt celebrating our birthdays when I moved back home. You were always sweet & sarcastic with me! Much Love Toby.

We don't know what tomorrow might bring......We need to let our loved ones know that we care while they are still living. Show kindness to others. You don't know what someone is going through.
