Evelyn Marie Williams “Ree”, departed this life on October 18, 2017 after a long illness at her home in Nashville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James and Ruth

She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Weldon, North Carolina. She attended Ralph J. Bunch School in Weldon, North Carolina. She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began working for Philadelphia Electric Company. She remained there for seventeen years.

Her pastimes were traveling and shopping. She also liked puzzles and watching game shows.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Wanda Elaine White of Wichita, KS and Shauntee Williams of Rocky Mount NC; one sons, Chauncey Williams of Philadelphia, PA;
one sister, Angela Coleman; two brothers, James Coleman, Jr. (Melanie) of Orlando, FL and Jeffery Coleman of Roanoke Rapids, NC; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Visitation for Ms. Williams was held from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 23, 2017, in the Roanoke Rapids Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.

These professional services have been entrusted to H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street in Rocky Mount, NC.
