Ms. Linda L. Freeman

Ms. Linda Lue Freeman, 68, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, daughter of the late James Peter Freeman and Lucille Vincent Freeman, was born in Halifax County, North Carolina. She transitioned into a painless home on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, North Carolina.

Fully was reared in the Lincoln Heights area of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and graduated with the Class of 1967 of John Armstrong Chaloner High School. She was employed with JP Stevens (Patterson Plant) for many years.

At an early age, she became a member and dedicated her life to God under the leadership of the late Pastor Katie Stich of The Way of the Cross Holiness Church of Lincoln Heights.

Treasured memories will remain forever with her children: Latarsha Freeman, Shakee Freeman, Terence Freeman, and Anthony Freeman of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three loving grandchildren: A’Jalon and Janyia Brown and Jamauri Watson of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three sisters: Alma Faye Freeman, Yvonne Fleming, and Betty Mae Vincent; a brother: Swain Lloyd Freeman; a special sister: Maxine Hawkins; special cousin: Carolyn Ann Johnson; special nephew: Fred Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda is now reunited with her son, Alford and siblings: Mary Jane Nelson, Marie Clark Fleming, Leona Clark Purnell, Catherine “Cat” Clark, Beulah Mae Palmer, Rudolph Vincent and James “Bug” Freeman.

A Visitation for Ms. Freeman will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, in the Roanoke Rapids Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.
