Mr. Johnnie Hugh "Une Bay" Williams, Jr.

Johnny Hugh Williams Jr. “Une Bay” was born on May 20,1955 to the late Johnny Hugh Williams Sr. and Dorothy Fox Williams. He completed his race and transition to his eternal place on May 26, 2018 after a terminal illness at his home in Rocky Mount North Carolina.

He attended Edgecombe county schools also the county in which he grew up in and made his home there.

Une Bay was always the life of the party. If you remember anything about him I'm sure we all can remember his bright and warm smile that has brighten so many days for so many of us.

The love he has for his family and friends will truly be missed, there was never a dull moment with him around, he made sure you laughed, and laughed so hard sometimes you cried, he kept a joke ready for you, a song to inspire you, some wisdom to help guide the way, along with pictures he always wanted to show, you know the old ones from back in the day when nobody had truthfully grown into who they wanted to be just yet, the ugly
ones always seemed to be his favorite, but to him it was hismemories of his family and friends that he cherished dearly.

Une Bay went from being a son and brother to being a husband and father. He made the choice to marry Dean Elizabeth Williams and to his union two children were born. Crystal JenineWilliams and Johnny Hugh Williams Ill. His children ventured out into the world and blessed him with five grandchildren all of Rocky Mount, NC that he leaves cherish memories and to carry on his legacy. He also leaves to cherish and share his memory,
four sisters, Dorothy Louise Bullock (Issac), Bertha Lee Sharpe, Betty Jene Williams all of Rocky Mount, NC and Rosella James (Pastor Joseph) of Bennettsville SC, and one brother, Roosevelt Williams (Dorothy) of Durham NC along with a host of nieces,
nephews family and friends. Although he isn't with us physically in our hearts he lives forever.

A Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Rocky Mount Evangelistic Deliverance Center, 1328 Dogwood St., Rocky Mount, NC. The interment will take place privately.

These professional services have been entrusted to H.D. Pope Funeral Home, located at 325 Nash Street in Rocky Mount, NC.
