Mrs. Ruellen M. "Lil Bit" Cherry

Ruellen McDaniel Cherry, daughter of the late Addie Mae McDaniel was born on May 26, 1951 in Enfield, North Carolina. Ruellen departed this life on August 9, 2018.

Ruellen dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of the Hickory View Missionary Baptist Church.

She was dedicated to serving as a proud member of the Usher Board. Ruellen had a loving spirit and enjoyed bringing a smile to the face of anyone in her midst. She will truly be missed beyond words.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard Daniel, James Daniel, Sidney Daniel and Sherman Daniel.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of thirty-seven years, Victor Cherry; daughters, Latoya Brake (Keith) of Wilson, NC and Nikia Pitts (Brian) of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother, David Daniel (Betty) of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister, Claudie Mae Daniel of Seattle, WA; three brothers-in-law; Robert Cherry (Lori) of O’Fallon, IL, Wayne Cherry (Ada) of Tarboro, NC, and Bruce Cherry (Freda) of Philadelphia, PA; one sister-in-law, Sheila Cherry (Lee) of Wilson, NC, nine grandchildren, Raequez Moore, Curtis Silver, Taniya Brake, Brianna Pitts, Ashante Rawlins, Victor Rawlins, Brian Pitts Jr., Ralph McCotter III and Hezekiah Pitts, along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Mrs. Cherry will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following the Visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm, on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Hickory View Baptist Church, located at 3911 Bullock School Rd, in Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the service in Gardens of Gethsemane in Rocky Mount, NC.
