Obituary

Sharpsburg, NC

Mrs. Sandra Dee Edmundson Johnson was born August 4, 1963 to the late Rufus Lee Edmundson and Susie Ann Edmundson. She peacefully departed this life on December 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

After attending Beddington High School, sometime later she met Mr. Garry Lee Johnson and the two married in 1988. She completed her certification in nursing assistance at Booker T. Washington Community College. She was employed at Universal Leaf North America, Inc. as a human relations representative. At an early age she gave her life to Christ! And later joined Word Tabernacle. She was active and faithful in church
until her health began to deteriorate.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband of thirty years, Mr. Garry Lee Johnson; four children: one son Tremaine Martell Edmundson of Butner, NC; three daughters: Tamekia Allen Payne (Marcus) of Idaho, Danielle Allen of SC, Shentelle Allen Chalk (Cornel) of Mississippi; five sisters: Shirley Alston, Sadie Davis (Ernest), Deborah
Brown (Luther) all of Wilson, NC, Gloria Washington (Rodger) of Stone Mountain, GA, Sheila Williams of Raleigh, NC; nine brothers: Tommy Edmundson (Teresa) of Washington State, Ronald Edmundson of Wilson, NC, Rufus Edmundson (Estrella) of Memphis, TN, Willie Edmundson (Paquita) of Chicago, Il, Kenneth Edmundson (Deborah) of Virginia Beach,VA, Darrick Edmundson, Bobby Tyson (Colavito), Ronald Tyson all of
Wilson, NC, Michael Tyson Sr. (Vanessa) of Kansas; seven grandchildren: Imani Phillips,Tristin and Marcus Payne II, Zaniyah and Jaiyda Edmundson, Daivor and Jayce

A Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Word Tabernacle Church, 821 Word Plaza, in Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the Service in Impact Pointe Cemetery in Rocky Mount, NC.
